ROSEWOOD HOUSE

A Registered Care home in Cornwall with nursing for adults with learning disabilities

Registered Manager: Jonathan Steed
Managers: Maria Thorne & Helen Willshire

A newly built and specially adapted home for 12 adults with a learning disability and physical disabilities. There is a 24 hour nurse team who are able to support individuals with more complex healthcare needs.

The ethos of the home is to provide support to young adults who require extra assistance to learn the necessary skills to live as independently as possible.

We will support people to develop by assisting in the selection of their own staff team, to manage their own finance budgets and to take risks in order to live safe and fulfilling lives.

People can choose and prepare their own meals in our kitchen which is wheelchair accessible, and they can even do their own laundry. The specially adapted home is designed to enable the use of assistive technologies.

Some people may only be able to achieve a limited amount of independence and will always require support to live happy and fulfilled lives. Through continual assessment we can plan a holistic response to individual need.
