Bowden Derra Park Limited is a developing business dedicated to the care and wellbeing of people with learning and physical disabilities.  Our team of over 150 support staff provide full time care for service users across various locations across the campus.

We have a number of job vacancies:-

Support Workers – Days – up to £8.10 per hour, depending on age and experience
You will be involved in supporting service users with activities and personal care needs.

You will also assist our service users to be as independent as possible by supporting them in their day-to-day personal lives!

Shifts available: We have a number of shift patterns available either working full time (7 shifts a fortnight working 12 hours per shift).  Alternatively, we have a number of part time shifts where you either work part of the 12 hour shift or you do less shifts over our 2 week rota period.

Support Workers - Waking nights – up to £8.60 per hour, depending on age and experience
As a Night Support Worker you will be required to support the Service Users during the evening with activities, to support them with their personal care and ensuring that their individual needs are met.

Shifts available: One full time shift working 7 shifts over a fortnight and one part time working 3 shifts a fortnight, the hours are from 7.15pm-7.15am or 7.30pm-7.30am.


Junior Team Leaders – Days – up to £8.40 per hour, depending on age and experience
Similar to our Support Worker role, you will very much be hands on with our Service Users, however you will also administer medication, support staff with their observations and provide cover for the Team Leader.

Shifts available: 2 roles available, working ideally full time (7 shifts a fortnight working 12 hours per shift).  We would consider part time shifts working less shifts over our 2 week rota period.

Part time Registered Nurse (nights) - £17.23 per hour
Our nurses provide a caring, supportive and personalised high standard of nursing to our Service Users in accordance with up-to-date and evidence based professional practice. You will provide leadership with regards to nursing standards and contribute to the management team of the house to improve professional standards and implement best practices throughout.

You must be currently registered with the NMC.

Shifts available: 3 x 12 hour shifts per fortnight, ideally every Friday night plus Monday or Tuesday night every other week.  Extra shifts to cover holiday and any other absences available.

Part-time cook - £8.00 – 8.50 per hour depending on experience
Following the opening of our new catering facility, we are looking to expand our catering team and now require an enthusiastic cook to join our organisation at a particularly exciting time. 

You will ideally be experienced in large scale catering and have a keen interest in cooking a variety of wholesome home cooked meals to produce high quality food from a hub kitchen, as well as help run a busy restaurant.  In addition, you will support all health and hygiene requirements and be involved in stock control and menu planning.

You will work every Monday and a second shift, usually a Wednesday working 7½ - 8 hours per shift. Times may vary dependent on business needs and you will be required to work additional shifts to cover staff holidays which may include occasional weekends. Some evening work may be required to cover functions.

What we need from you

You must be warm, positive and committed to ensuring that people enjoy the highest quality of life. Previous experience in a similar role is preferable but NOT essential.  Full driving licence an advantage.
